Again, looking at letters as shapes. Here we studied depth and texture. I never thought of using type accomplish those. It was very interesting.

Space Travel Poster

This poster is set in Saturn, looking out on one of its lakes of liquid natural gas. Here we can see the reflection of Saturn's Earth-like moon Titan reflecting on the lake. This project took extensive research. It was important to me that my poster was realistic to the actual qualities of Saturn. During research I discovered that Saturn had lakes, then I had to figure out what the lakes were made of and what color would best represent that. Next, I discovered that Saturn had an Earth-like moon and it was the biggest moon to that planet, so I decided that it (Titan) would be the one that I illustrated in my design. I gathered inspiration for the moon off of images on NASA.com.

Logo Design

This was fun because I got to learn more techniques on illustrator. I go to make logos for my snow cone stand, and play with fun color palette. I also learned different ways of bringing attention to different details. Some borders help and some borders distract.

Hierarchy 101

This project was a lot of fun. I love that we helped others in the process. The concept of my design was a little tricky at first. I ended up using I took a photo of fire wood at Christmas that I used for the background. Then, the colors were hard to figure out. But the revisions helped a lot.
